Description

This is a basic list of cupboard essentials that can be built up over time as you buy for different recipes, you will eventually have a good collection in your cupboard to cover most eventualities. You do not need to buy Brand names as Supermarket own Brands will be every bit as good.

Tins

  • Chopped Tomatoes
  • Kidney Beans,

Dry Goods

  • Tomato Puree
  • Stock cubes (Dry cubes or Stock Pots)
  • Pasta, Rice (ready cooked bags)
  • Tubes of ready crushed Garlic, Ginger etc.


Herbs & Spices

  • Oregano
  • Bay Leaves
  • Garam Masala
  • Paprika
  • Chilli powder

Fridge Products

  • Garlic & Ginger paste
  • Butter (unsalted not the spreadable packs)
  • Cheese.


Frozen Products

  • Chopped veg (onion, carrots, peppers etc.)
  • Chopped herbs (Basil, coriander, chili etc.)


Oils & Vinegar

  • Oils & Vinegars – Olive Oil (or sunflower oil, Veg oil)
  • Red & White wine vinegar (good to have but not essential)


Wine

Red /White wine – If you do not want to buy large bottles of wine some supermarkets sell small bottles of wine as individual portions.  Alternatively you can also buy red wine stock cubes.
