Description
This is a basic list of cupboard essentials that can be built up over time as you buy for different recipes, you will eventually have a good collection in your cupboard to cover most eventualities. You do not need to buy Brand names as Supermarket own Brands will be every bit as good.
Tins
- Chopped Tomatoes
- Kidney Beans,
Dry Goods
- Tomato Puree
- Stock cubes (Dry cubes or Stock Pots)
- Pasta, Rice (ready cooked bags)
- Tubes of ready crushed Garlic, Ginger etc.
Herbs & Spices
- Oregano
- Bay Leaves
- Garam Masala
- Paprika
- Chilli powder
Fridge Products
- Garlic & Ginger paste
- Butter (unsalted not the spreadable packs)
- Cheese.
Frozen Products
- Chopped veg (onion, carrots, peppers etc.)
- Chopped herbs (Basil, coriander, chili etc.)
Oils & Vinegar
- Oils & Vinegars – Olive Oil (or sunflower oil, Veg oil)
- Red & White wine vinegar (good to have but not essential)
Wine
Red /White wine – If you do not want to buy large bottles of wine some supermarkets sell small bottles of wine as individual portions. Alternatively you can also buy red wine stock cubes.
