Getting back to work

The Wise Group delivers Scotland’s flagship employability programme, “Fair Start Scotland”, in Inverclyde, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and East & West Dunbartonshire. The programme is completely voluntary for 12 months and doesn’t affect anyone’s benefits. When you do reach employment/self-employment, we’ll continue to support you for 12-18 months thereafter. Specifically we can:

1) Provide training for skills development

2) Support you into employment and provide wrap around support as you settle and grow

3) Support you into self-employment

4) Help you to remove any existing barriers to the positive change you are seeking

Settle and grow into a new job

For those who are looking for a new job we will:

1) match you with a work coach or mentor to guide your journey 

2) help you to create CV’s and covering letters tailored to each role

3) support with application forms

4) enable you to improve your Digital Skills

5) prepare you in advance of interviews through, for example, workshops

6) link you up with our Employer Engagement Team who have established relationships and support small, medium and large organisations to select new colleagues

7) pay for training

8) reimburse customers for interview clothing, travel to training, appointments, and interviews

9) support you to identify any remaining barriers, if any, so we can find the positive change you are looking for together.
